Frequently asked questions
• How far in advance must I book my items?
Rentalex will try to accommodate an order placed even the day of the event, however for a large event we recommend booking a few months ahead to ensure availability. May –August is our busiest season and we recommend booking six-eight months in advance.
• What is required down to reserve my items?
Rentalex requires 25% down at time of reservation to hold items for your date. We are more than happy to provide a quote at any time free of charge but we cannot guarantee the availability of any items until a reservation is completed.
• What is Damage Waiver?
Damage waiver is an eight percent non-refundable service charge added to each contract which covers accidental breakage . It does not cover items lost, stolen, vandalized, or intentional y damaged by the customer. It covers repairs such as a heating element or light burning out during normal use etc.
• What is your cancellation policy?
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at time of reservation. If you have to change quantities you may do so up to 30 days prior to your event. Items changed or cancelled after the 30 day mark are subject to cancellation fees up to 100% and are to the discretion of rentalex.
• Are there refunds due to bad weather?
We cannot control the weather. Rentalex may try to issue a rain check under certain circumstances subject to availability and discretion of a rentalex representative but cannot offer any cash refunds. Please keep all rental items inside overnight to ensure weather does not ruin our chairs, tables, china, etc. REMINDER: WHILE TENTS ARE A GREAT SOLUTION TO OVERBEARING SUN AND LIGHT RAIN, THEY ARE NOT MEANT FOR SHELTER IN SEVERE WEATHER. IN AN EVENT OF A STORM, TENTS MUST BE EVACUATED. There are no refunds for tents unusable due to weather.
• What size tent is recommended for my event?
Every event is unique and it is best to talk with one of our consultants for recommendation. The information we need to make our recommendation is the number of guests, utilization of tent (Is it a wedding reception with a sit down dinner, cocktail hour, wedding ceremony, ground breaking with most guests standing, ect), and size/style of tables and chairs if any.
• When can I schedule a delivery or pickup?
Rentalex will deliver and setup 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Please allow an additional service charge for after hour delivery and pickups. We will do our best to accommodate all delivery requests however during peak times changes may not be able to be accommodated.
• Do my items come ready to use?
All items come clean and ready to use. Some items are required to come back to us in same condition as they went out to avoid cleaning fees. Please see a representative if you have questions regarding to return of items.
• What happens if I break something?
Damage waiver does cover a portion of costs if items are broken when being handled correctly such as a broken glass or plate in a crate. If your breakage exceeds the damage waiver fee however, you are responsible for covering additional costs.
